A BCC police officer was charged with child pornography after being accused of secretly videotaping a fifteen-year-old girl in the bathroom.
Under to Rhode Island law, “child pornography” means any visual depiction, including any photograph, film, video, picture, or computer or computer-generated image or picture, whether made or produced by electronic, mechanical, or other means, of sexually explicit conduct.
According to police:
“The police are able to actually watch the video tape, they do observe one incident where the victim does enter the bathroom. They can see the defendant and hear him talking as he sets up the video camera in the bathroom closet as it focuses on where the toilet is.”
The officer is due back in court on these child pornography charges on May 11th.
