Education and Experience
Grasso is a magna cum laude graduate of Roger Williams University School of Law where he earned honors in Advanced Legal Writing, Military Law, Judicial Process and Ethics and Trial Advocacy. He has a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Studies from Roger Williams University. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Providence College in 1988. In 2010, Grasso was sworn in as a member of the Bar of the United States Supreme Court. Grasso served in various assignments as a United States Army Officer.
Prior to law school, Grasso was a member of the Cranston Rhode Island Police Department where he served as a patrolman, member of the Department’s Special Reaction Team and Underwater Recovery Team. As a former police officer, Grasso possesses a unique understanding of police officer training, policies, procedures, and the methods employed to detect crime and make arrests. Grasso is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, American Bar Association, Rhode Island Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and graduate of the National Criminal Defense College. He is an adjunct professor of law at Roger Williams University School of Law where he teaches the next generation of lawyers Trial Advocacy and Criminal Litigation.
