Bristol Police charged RWU student with domestic simple assault and battery. Our investigation revealed that relevant and exculpatory surveillance video recordings were in the University’s possession. The University refused to turn over those recordings. We successfully petitioned the court to allow us to issue a subpoena duces tecum on the University. Once we had the video recordings in hand, we successfully persuaded the prosecutor to dismiss the charge. We then sealed our student’s record. The University allowed our student to graduate.
The Result – Case Dismissed.
