“PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — A Rhode Island man who was arrested twice in a year on child-pornography charges has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison.
Federal prosecutors said the punishment was imposed Friday on 49-year-old Robert MacGregor, of Pawtucket. His former roommate, Gerard Proulx Jr., pleaded guilty last week to one count of possession of child pornography.
Prosecutors say MacGregor was among 20 people arrested in August 2010 on child-pornography charges. They say he was arrested again last February while free on bail after authorities found 13 DVDs containing child pornography at his home.
MacGregor pleaded guilty in August to two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of receipt of child pornography.”
